Are your church's Easter resources sorted?

If not, today is the day!

Easter: the most significant event in human history. And yet, it’s sometimes hard to muster the materials and energy to promote this annual anniversary with the gusto it deserves.

Fortunately, it’s not too late for churches to sign up for a swathe of Easter resources put together by Bible Society Australia as part of its Jesus. All About Life campaign.

In the weeks leading up to Easter, the Jesus. All About Life campaign has been aiming to spark a national conversation about Jesus, encouraging Australians to take a moment to consider “what is life all about?”

Local churches are being encouraged to use their digital and physical locations to display campaign posters, banners and social content, to extend this message across the country.

To help with this promotion, churches can access free, customisable digital materials – including posters, social media graphics, invitations and welcome cards, and PowerPoint graphics.

There are also books to help people engage with the Bible this Easter, including a Lost Sheep classic for the kids and Jesus. All About Life by Murray Smith for adults, which uses Jesus’ own words from the gospels to present the good news. And if you order these resources today (for states except SA and WA), they should arrive in time for Easter.

A seven-day email devotional series – designed to connect people with the meaning of Easter – kicks off on 3 April and runs until Easter Sunday.

For the big weekend itself, churches can access video sermons and heaps of activities, games and lesson plans for kids ministry. As well colouring-in sheets and word searches, kids can learn how to sign ‘Happy Easter’ in Australian sign language (Auslan); discover the history of hot cross buns; watch an Easter puppet show; take part in a treasure hunt; or settle down to watch an animated Bible video.

Almost 1000 churches and individuals from across Australia participated in the Jesus. All About Life campaign last year. Significantly, thousands of seekers visited the campaign’s outreach website – jesus. com.au – to discover more about Jesus.

This year, churches in Kenya and Rwanda will join hundreds of churches in Australia and South Pacific that have already signed up to access these Easter resources. If you’d like to sign up for Jesus. All About Life, visit biblesociety.org.au/jesus-all-about-life.
